Snugpak - Stratosphere Bivy Bag

In general, I really like the idea behind such a bivy. The pack size, the scope of delivery and the price-performance ratio convinced me. However, I had the first water ingress after the first 3 hours of light rain. This was increased in the foot section. The head area remained very dry. Since I am a convinced fan of down sleeping bags, this is not wearable for me. So unfortunately he is going back again. Otherwise, however, he was able to convince me.

Really a top product with the right care. As with everything that should withstand water, impregnation is essential, but a cheap means can also offer full protection here as the material does not have to be filled unnecessarily, as is the case with many inferior products. I've already spent several nights in this thing, outside in rain and storms, as well as under roofs or halls where sleeping unprotected would simply result in death from dust. It is lightweight, small and robust. Of course, as with almost all tents and the like, it is recommended to have a base that protects and insulates. I've had little to deal with condensation so far, the interior of the tent is slightly clammy here and there, but this is absolutely normal and warped quickly after ventilation.

Good quality, looks chic, enough space inside, I also think the pack size and weight are ok.

Use the product for a monthly overnight stay outdoors. Ideal for taking a sleeping pad with you in your bivouac bag. Quality appears to be very valuable (frame, V packaging, etc.) The head protection is very comfortable for me. When used in heavy rain and the headboard was completely closed, there was a lot of moisture formation, but this is probably unavoidable in cold weather conditions. Yet my sleeping bag remained dry on the inside. Further tests are pending. I'm looking forward to it.

I've used it 4 times so far. I'm thrilled. It rained heavily yesterday and the temperature was around 2 degrees. I noticed relatively little of everything. After my rather bad experiences with hammocks, I have found the optimal solution for me. The weight is great, as is the pack size.
