Bundeswehr Original - BW Combat Boot Tropical Used

I had worn the shoes for an hour (approx. 2 km), then the sole on “both” boots broke or peeled off the shoe and the damping material broke out. Thought I was buying good used quality, unfortunately that's a lesson to me. Happens on the first of 17 vacation days with desert hiking.

Unbeatable for this price and great quality for used shoes! My boots only had slight signs of wear, a slightly discolored surface on the left boot as if someone had tried to clean the boot with a black brush? The boots are very lightweight and the high heel provides a secure fit. They fit me like a glove. I will also use them for hikes in higher areas. I have now freshly impregnated them and I am sure that they can withstand “normal” rain and are tight. Clear purchase recommendation!

Today I noticed that the rubber on a heel has loosened horizontally and is torn. A 5-7 cm wide tear, which means that I would have lost my heel at some point or that the entire sole of the shoe would peel off! That's what I've had before with LOWA boots. But then they were also 20 years old! I am happy to submit a photo if there is any doubt about my information.

The shoes didn't survive just two days of wear. The sole has come off in the heel area on both shoes. The shoemaker was also no longer able to save her. Good thing they weren't used in action. It would have been pure disaster.

Of course they're used boots and of course you can see that. BUT for the price, you have to be aware that the boots are used. I have to say a big compliment for the shipment. Ordered on Thursdays and received on Saturday, that's service. In addition to a few signs of wear and tear, the boots are well maintained. Not broken or anything loose, etc. You can tell the robustness. Just Bundeswehr quality. The boots are still a little tight but they will shrink. The first weekend involved 15 km of hiking and absolutely great. I will certainly order another few to change or replace because the price/performance ratio is very good.
