12 years ago (2010) i bought a used, original set (parka and trousers, but i used only the parka) . That was produced 1993, and i could use it without problem for 4-5 further years, when the membrane started to bulge in specific places. But is was useable for 2-3 years after it. When the hood softened comlitely, i dicided to by a new one. I received that today. It's only money wasting: brutally recuted pattern geometry, not matching colors, silky shine outer material, inoperably loose snaps. The size ok, maybe it can resist a few cold, wet days, that's te only reason i gave 2 star despite 1, but i do not want to try it, so i will send back. Gore gears only colud be good, or bad, and if it's good, than it can be 4 star, if it used already.

The quality is top, like new, I hardly believe that anyone ever wore it. Unfortunately, instead of 56/58 as stated, the size 56/58 is now extra long extra large. BW internally, this would be differentiated, unfortunately not here. It's really big now, but it's no drama in the cooler season, when something is worn underneath anyway.

Use the wetness protection for extended hikes, fits well, keeps dry, good part.
