Walther - Backup Knife

Nice knife in a nice knife sheath. Convenient to take with you and attach anywhere with all sorts of options. When I first used it, I thought I had ordered a carving knife for children by mistake. Zero sharp. OK, it's my first non-Scandinavian knife. Otherwise I like to buy Mora or Marttiini. I'm used to more sharpness right out of the box. Well, you just have to sharpen it up.

The Walther knife meets the legal requirements for driving knives and comes close in size and weight to the Jim Wagner knife, which may not be used in Germany. The blade is extremely strong and does not break even when hit with bones. It is ideal as an equalizer in close combat and self-defense, for lightning-fast stabs, bullying and reaping after libre fighting. The price is really cheap. The only difference is that the sheath is not so tight on wide belts that you can safely pull it with one hand every time. I still have to make a fuse here with a parachute string.

I've been using this knife for a few years now and hasn't been disappointed yet. The plug-in sheath still serves its purpose and keeps the knife reliably where it belongs. The knife is robust and can be used in a variety of ways due to its size. I add a star print to the thickness of the blade. As a result, the knife is a bit more difficult to sharpen and finer carving (trap making, making fire drill sets, etc.) does not work as well. Conclusion: a good knife at a reasonable price which is very versatile. Here is a clear purchase recommendation from my side.

A successful knife at a low price. Knife sheath can be used flexibly - unfortunately a bit problematic with adjusting the screws, but still ok - tight fit. It feels good in the hand and is very well made.
