Snugpak - Torrent W/P Cold Weather Jacket

The jacket makes a good impression. It is very warm but not thick. 184cm 79kg M fits well, but stretches your back a bit when moving. Size L was much too big. A star print because the image for the color “Forest Green” does not match the color of the product. The jacket is in a dark green and not in a shade of brown.

At 186 cm and 83 kg, L fits very well. Fleece jacket or thick sweater can easily be stored underneath. The collar is soft and closes fairly tightly. Zippers work well. I am satisfied and can only recommend this jacket.

The heat output of this jacket is great! Even with a T-shirt under the jacket, it is not too cold at 0°C (depends on duration and movement and is of course always subjective). With my height of 184 cm and almost 100 kg, XL fits me well. I tested size L, but it felt a lot like sausage peel. Even with XL, the space for underlining is limited, but ok. A bit more relaxed with open zippers under the arms. By the way, these are not particularly easy - that's annoying (therefore only 4 stars). Especially under your arms, you can (almost) not operate them with one hand. However, the collar is nice and tight at the top and is almost a bit too tight when you wear a scarf or fleece with a collar. But you don't really need it, as the collar itself is very tight. Why did I choose this jacket? I needed a jacket that I could put on under my HeliKonTex smog, but also wear “civilian” in everyday life. After more than 15 years, I also needed a replacement for my very heavy and robust predecessor jacket. The difference in weight is huge (for me) as this jacket weighs quite little. I was also impressed by the very high rainproofness. I can therefore recommend the jacket with a clear conscience.
