The model Softie 12 Osprey by Snugpack is a real winter sleeping bag. The Reflecta thermal coating increases the warmth insulation. The foot area is reinforced and allows therefore the use of the sleeping bag while wearing boots.
The outer material is made from Paratex Extreme, like with all sleeping bags from the Softie series.

Cool piece with a length of 2.20 m. Very comfortable. Especially pretty long for someone like me (1.95 m). Even if the sleeping bag gets damp on the outside because you may have touched the soaking wet tent skin of the inexpensive but very lightweight single-wall tent, it remains completely dry on the inside. I also bought the Miltec modular sleeping bag cover with a length of 2.25 m, as the original US modular cover measures only 2.00 m and is now quite rocked out and the SnugPak SF cover is far too expensive! Harmonizes very well with each other.

Very cool sack. I've already had one that is getting on in years now. That's why I'm buying the same model again. Spacious and a great price/weight ratio for a synthetic fiber bag.

Last winter I tested the Snugpak Softie 12 at temperatures between -11°C and - 17°C in combination with a Goretex bivouac bag. At around -14° I had to wear sweatpants and a thin sweater, before that I was only wearing thin functional underwear and had no feeling of cold. The cold collar works and the zipper is neatly covered on the inside so that there is no cold bridge here. The only criticism: The zipper is a bit delicate and snags in easily. In practice, this sleeping bag is likely to exceed the manufacturer's specifications regarding extreme value and in terms of pack size, it is comparable to the old BW mummy sleeping bag. I would buy it again and again.

With this sleeping bag, I turned the nights into Heiko Gärtner's wilderness expert. Lasted 28.5 days Positive points: The opening of the sleeping bag is very easy to close. The neck area can be closed and the headrest can be closed separately. When s outside is zero degrees, this is very practical. Make sure that the string is always loosened with the button and not pulled on by force, otherwise the seam of the string will break. If the sleeping bag is moist, you won't feel anything inside. As a tip: If you have cold feet, like me: keep your feet together and wrap a shirt or something similar around your feet, then slide into the sleeping bag. And the problem is solved
