Chest-Rig Oliv
ENG
The Chest Rig obviously fits a lot. The three magazine pouches are huge, they each have space for up to three 5.56 magazines (with the exception of G36 magazines with coupling), two 7.62x39 magazines and even two .308 magazines. Three times and you're quickly at six magazines, which is the standard. In addition, there are two really large pockets for a water bottle, for example. There is also an inner compartment, which can be reached via two push buttons and whose opening is located between the straps. This inner pocket actually stretches across the entire chest rig. Plenty of space for cards, pens, etc. A tourniquet or something similar can be stored in the pocket on the shoulder strap. However, when the Chest Rig is worn, it is difficult to reach.
The front pockets have a Velcro strip folded into the pocket, which can cover the Velcro surface of the bag when folded out so that the bag can be opened more or less silently with the buckles. Personally, I would rather have (and have) removed the buckles from the product so that the bag only opens and closes with Velcro. This saves you from fiddling when opening and the magazine is changed faster. In addition, without the buckles, the Chest Rig is less likely to get stuck somewhere.
The Chest Rig is adjustable and adaptable to the body, so it fits well. My only problem when it comes to comfort is that the fabric, or rather the polyester, can scratch a lot and leave marks on the skin over a long period of time, making it very uncomfortable to wear. That's why I recommend wearing a top with a collar or a balaclava with the chest rig.
This brings us straight to the fabric and quality of the product, which leaves something to be desired. It would be better if certain parts of the rig were better padded with different, softer material. In addition, there are a lot of loose threads on the seams, which is not a sign of quality. However, nothing has broken yet.
Finally, I have to say that the price is pretty unbeatable for what you get.
So for beginners in Airsoft, or people who are simply looking for something cheap, it is highly recommended. If not, check back for other options.
TIGHT
Obviously the chest rig has a lot of storage capability. The Three mag pouches are gigantic, they each fit up to three 5.56 mags (with the exception of G36 mags with connectors), two 7.62x39 mags, and even two .308 mags. That 6 mags total at least, standard combat load. Additionally there are two really big pouches for stuff like a flask. Also there is an inner compartment which is accessable via the two push buttons in the middle and it streches over the entire surface of the chest rig. A lot of place for admin items like maps and pens. In the pouch on the shoulder a tourniquet can be stored, but it is hard to reach when wearing the rig.
The mag pouches have a velcro strip folded into the pouches to cover the outer velcro surface of the pouch, so that the velcro on the pouch doesn't close. They do that so you can open the pouches quietly via the buckles. However I would rather have the buckles removed, so the pouches only open via Velcro. It's easier to open, faster and there is no fumbling with buttons. So there is less of a risk of snagging.
The chest rig is adjustable in size and thus fits well. My only problem is that the material is not great and can scratch on open skin a lot, which makes wearing the rig a chore. I recommend wearing something with a collar or a balaclava with the rig.
This brings us to material and quality, which isn't perfect. It would be better if the rig was cushioned with soft material at certain points. Additionally there are a lot of loose threads, which doesn't attest to the quality of the product. That said, nothing broke or came off yet.
All in all the price is pretty unbeatable for what you get. Its a solid choice for beginners in stuff like airsoft and also recommendable for people just looking for something cheap. If you don't fall into either category I'd recommend something of higher quality.
