But there is no “one backpack for everything”. The versatile range opens up unimagined possibilities for use. ASMC will help you find the right one.
The backpacks can be used without preparation. In principle, there are no special features that need to be taken into account. Reading the instructions for use provides valuable information on the structure, use, features and functions of the backpacks, some of which differ significantly.
Tip: Before using the backpack, it should always be adjusted to the size of the wearer. This is easy on the back and ensures optimum carrying comfort.
In addition to its main task, the rucksack should also protect the wearer from the weather. The organized storage in the various backpack compartments allows quick and uncomplicated access. Before putting on the backpack, make sure that the zippers are properly fastened.
Before choosing the right backpack, you should take a look at its design. The backpacks can be used for many different applications, but a different model may be recommended for each purpose. The respective camouflage colors, for example, should be matched to the area of use. Effective camouflage is only possible in this way. The second important selection criterion is the size and volume of the rucksack. The models in our range have different capacities and more or less large side pockets.
In addition to purely functional and practical considerations, when choosing a backpack, you should also make sure that it harmonizes with the rest of your clothing. Strong color deviations can impair the overall appearance and reduce the camouflage effect. The selection should not be based on the manufacturer. We are aware of our quality standards and have therefore only stocked our range with products from renowned brand manufacturers.
The material of most rucksacks is polyester. This ensures optimum resistance to external weather influences such as rain, snow and sunlight when backpacking. The weight of the backpacks is usually around one kilogram. There are no major differences in this area. Some backpacks have a removable lap belt and padded shoulder straps. Carrying handles can be an advantage depending on the area of use. Many models have a breathable back and shoulder strap, which prevents sweat from being absorbed.
Expand the volume of your backpack by attaching a MOLLE system. MOLLE is a military system for attaching and carrying equipment and objects. The system is extremely variable and compatible. The MOLLE pouches can be attached to the desired position on the rucksack. The loops are attached vertically to the Molle straps so that the Molle and compression straps can be optimally interwoven.
The list is of course only a suggestion and can be modified according to circumstances and personal preference.

Hold the carrying handle with your left hand and the shoulder strap with your right. Your left foot is in front of the backpack and your leg is slightly bent. Then pull the rucksack up towards you with a swing and place it on your left knee. Now let go of the carrying handle. Then reach under the shoulder strap and further under the bottom of the rucksack and lift the rucksack onto your back with your right hand. Now place your right arm under the shoulder pad and the rucksack is on your shoulders.
There are laundry disinfectants, e.g. from Sagrotan, but also no-name products. You can put this in the fabric softener compartment of the washing machine or use the grandma trick with vinegar essence, the vinegar smell fades very quickly in the air.
To reduce the overall weight, it is not enough to buy lightweight equipment and throw it in your rucksack. Instead, it requires an intensive examination of the planned tour and knowledge of your own abilities, needs and experience. Why is that the case? Imagine you have packed the lightest of everything, but at the end of the tour you realize that half of what you took with you was not needed at all. The lowest possible weight can therefore only be achieved if the equipment has been selected with good planning and understanding
You can certainly save quite a bit, see the previous paragraph. But what you absolutely must take on tour:
- A document to identify yourself (passport/identity card),
- EC/credit card and health insurance card (for emergencies),
- Armored tape (adhesive tape),
- wet wipes and
- earplugs.
There are various alternative products to the backpack: WEB Gear / LBE (Load-Bearing Equipment) and LCE (Load-Carrying Equipment). All are easy to handle and - depending on the intended use - offer a good alternative to a rucksack.
