Comet – Brand Manufacturer for Signal Devices and Accessories

Founded in the 1930s in Bremerhaven, Comet Marine Distress Signals is today one of the world's leading manufacturers of signal devices in the nautical and military fields.

Flare rockets and smoke signals have been among the German manufacturer's flagship products for over five decades, distributed in more than 60 countries and used in almost all major ports worldwide.

Applying Comet Signal Devices Simply and Correctly

The signal devices are fired using special launchers, which allow for easy attachment of the flare cartridges and firing at the push of a button. The manufacturer specifies a minimum burn time of five seconds with a luminous intensity of 10,000 candelas for the cartridges. Custom magazines are offered for the dry and safe storage of projectiles, providing space for up to nine cartridges.

Even simpler are the smoke generators from Comet, whose robust packaging can be torn open at marked spots to emit constant white smoke thereafter. Declared as dangerous goods, these smoke generators, weighing less than 100 grams, are easy to transport and ensure a burning duration of several minutes.
