Esbit - Set da cucina doppio

I really like the system. The burner is identical to the original Trangia with all the advantages and disadvantages: - You should not rely on the tightness of the lid and only transport spirit in exceptional cases. - The flame control lid is more suitable for extinguishing than for regulating. This also applies to the rightly highly acclaimed Trangia stove. The softly misunderstood windscreen is actually not a windscreen but is used to position the pot. - If you really want to use it as a windshield, I recommend taping the side openings with heat-resistant aluminum adhesive tape (but don't seal all openings so that the air supply is maintained). The solid fuel tray (Esbit tablets) is practical but not absolutely necessary. But when you use them, you have the ideal distance from the pot. Although the rubberized handles look cheap, when used properly, they do not actually come into direct contact with the flame and are therefore sufficiently stable. The set is only partially suitable for real cooking but really good for heating food or heating water for coffee or tea. I think the bad reviews are due to the fact that many users use the set incorrectly or expect too much. I use the set as an emergency cooker and always have it in the car.

Wind protection is superfluous as, in my opinion, it is of no use at all and is difficult to reach for controlling the spirit burner. Both pots are difficult to clean at the riveting points and if you clean them with a rough sponge, the aluminum comes off. I only see the weight and compactness as a plus. Except for leaks during transport, the burner burns very well for a long time and with good performance. I have now disposed of the windshield, I will keep the rest but I am used to the company Esbit andrs.

Very well made I'm really happy with this set. The price and performance are right here. Absolutely great for one person and, if really necessary, for two.
