The item description says with zipper. In fact, the strap can be adjusted to different belt widths with a Velcro fastener. In the twilight, the snap hook looked like metal. I think he'll definitely hold my gloves.:) 5 stars, I was pleasantly surprised & am thinking of getting more. It's a shame that you don't get them in tan or coyote.
